Mocatta House is part of the Trafalgar Place flagship development in Brighton.

Named after David Mocatta the architect who designed the original building in the 1890’s and also Brighton’s Railway Station, Mocatta House has recently been refurbished at a cost of £3.7 million.

The building has been extended vertically by developers Faithdean to provide high end office accommodation including a new sixth floor and roof terrace.

Kemmlit R2Z lockers with electronic locks were specified by architects Morrow & Lorrainne for one of the main office suites.

The Type R2Z Locker System, which has a 20-year guarantee, utilises high quality 100% corrosion resistant aluminium for the locker carcass with a choice of two high quality door options – solid grade laminate finished in a special overlay to protect against scratching or a double shelled aluminium door with a ‘Crystal Coat’ stove enamelled finish.

For this project, 13mm solid grade laminate (HPL) doors with rounded edges were specified.

48 Leicester Square in Central London is a landmark building which has been totally revamped at a cost of over £40 million to provide high end retail and office space over 8 floors.

Dating back to 1920, part of the original façade has been retained by the developers with the addition of an added upper story and an elegant curved roof.

In keeping with the high specification requirements of the building, Kemmlit’s Classic Cell floor to ceiling cubicles with a black finish were specified by Make Architects for each of the eight floors toilet blocks.

In addition, 70 of Kemmlit’s high performance IXOS lockers were also specified and installed in the building’s basement locker room.

The School of Pharmacy, part of University College London is one of the most highly rated pharmacy schools in the UK.

Dating back to 1842 the school is dedicated to teaching and research in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences.

As part of a refurbishment project, architects Potter Raper Partnership specified Kemmlit’s recently launched Primo Kn cubicles for the male and female student toilet facilities.

With smooth-surfaced doors in lemon green and contrasting quartz grey walls made of 42 mm thick composite elements with internal aluminium frames, the Primo Kn cubicle system was installed by Kemmlit’s own specialist contractors.

Additional scope of works supplied by Kemmlit included; bench seating, vanity units, and duct panelling.

A special protective layer on all surfaces increases PRIMO Kn’s scratch and abrasion resistance capability and, in order to withstand intense wear, the system includes a substantial three-roller edge hinge with a stainless steel axis.

Christian Dior’s largest and most prestigious UK store recently opened in New Bond Street, London to critical acclaim.

The store designed by New York designer Peter Marino, features Dior’s luxury products over four floors including an exclusive Home Furnishings Collection.

In keeping with the high specification of building’s interior fittings, Kemmlit’s stylish, yet durable Type S locker system was specified by project architects Blair Associates for the staff changing areas.

The Tate Modern extension, designed by architects Herzog & de Meuron, is being hailed as the most important new cultural building in the UK since the British Library in 1998.

The ten story building’s twisting, pyramid-like shape features the world’s first gallery spaces dedicated to live art, film and installations – its height responding to the chimney of the existing Tate Modern building which was originally designed as a power station.

The Blavatnik School of Government is one of the youngest and most vibrant departments of the University of Oxford. Founded in 2010, thanks to a £75 million donation by American philanthropist Leonard Blavatnik, the aim of the school is to improve the quality of government and public policy-making worldwide.

Their new multi million pound building designed by architects Herzog & de Meuron and built by Laing O’Rourke features two horseshoe-shaped lecture theatres providing seating for 120 and 80 students.

There are also large flexible teaching spaces that can be used for lectures and conferences. The stunning open forum, around which teaching spaces are located, ensures natural light reaches into lecture theatres.

The entire construction of the building has been designed to meet the highest standards of environmental sustainability.
